We practice most Tuesday nights from 7:30 to 10:00 p.m. at Assomption de Notre Dame Church Hall 384 Hillside Ave, Oshawa, ON L1J 6L7. We always welcome membership inquiries and invite you to please contact our membership coordinator at membership@DurhamShoresChorus.com to find out more about us, and ask how you can join one of our Tuesday night rehearsals or our chorus.
Note: We have members who have severe reactions to scent and chemicals. Please ensure that any hair, make-up, deoderant, laundry, etc, products you use are UNSCENTED. No perfumes neither, please and thank you.

Do you LOVE to sing? Did you like the Pitch Perfect movie? Do you sing in the shower or crank up the radio and sing along in the car? If you're interested in music, learning to harmonize, meeting new people, bolstering your confidence, come join us! As a member of this unique hobby, you'll discover fun activities, an enlarged circle of friends and numerous performance opportunities.
Durham Shores Chorus is made up of a very diverse group of people that come from different cities, age levels and areas of musical experience. We are constantly learning about our 4-part a capella craft and striving to raise our levels in all areas of our performance.
Being a part of a teaching organization, you will learn all there is to know, through regular practices and scheduled coaching sessions, about this wonderful art form that we call barbershop. Take advantage of our trial workshop, which consists of three weeks of free singing lessons and vocal coaching. Experienced music educators will place you in the singing part that best matches your voice range. You don't have to be able to read music as learning tracks and sheet music will be provided. Plus, you will be supported by a music team who will help further develop your musical growth.
Membership is open to women (including transgender women) and non-binary people assigned female at birth in accordance with the standard procedure for “Chapter Membership Admittance” as described in the Sweet Adelines International Policy Book, who are eighteen years or older.
