Regional Awards & Milestones

Chartered August 23, 1994, Durham Shores Chorus has loved performing on the Regional Competition stage with the other choruses in Lake Ontario Region 16.  Below are some highlights from over the years...

1994 - Chartered
1996 - First time in Regional Competition and our "Northern Harmony" quartet won Novice Quartet Award
2003 - Won Most Improved chorus by 54 points
2004 - 10th anniversary
2006 - Won Most Improved chorus by 83 points and our director Stephanie Jukes won Novice Director Award
2008 - Won 3rd place Division AA Mid-size Chorus
2014 - Won Most Improved Chorus by 80 points and 3rd place Division AA Mid-size Chorus
2015 - 1st place Division A Small Size Chorus and our director Lynn Brown won Novice Director Award
2016 - 3rd place Division A Small Size Chorus
2017 - 2nd place Division A Small Size Chorus (behind 1st place by only 1 point)
2018 - 3rd place Division A Small Size Chorus 
2019 - 25th anniversary show/performance
*2020 and 2021 competitions were cancelled due to the Covid19 pandemic.
*2022 competition was held by video submission so we didn't compete.
2023 - 2nd place Division A Small Size Chorus and our "Up and Coming" quartet (with Diane, Raymonde, Chuma and Lorraine) won Novice Quartet Award
